The Lostock Waste-to-Energy plant in North West England is scheduled to be operative for 2023.

Our French partner CNIM is currently building a waste-to-energy plant at Tata Chemicals Europe’s Northwich site in North West England. The Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant is a joint venture of investment firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and the operator, FCC Environment.

After start-up, which is scheduled for 2023, the plant will combust approx. 600,000 t of RDF (refuse-derived fuel) of household and commercial waste per year. The heat released (2 x 120 MW) will be used to generate electricity (90 MW) and to provide heat and process steam to the neighboring industrial premises.

MARTIN will supply two reverse-acting grates Vario, each with 5 runs and throughput of 45.5 t/h. The equipment supplied will include the combustion control system with an infrared camera (MICC).
