Waste-to-Energy Steam Turbine delivered to East Rockingham in Australia
GE’s steam turbine help convert non-recyclable waste into dependable and reliable energy
GE Steam Power has successfully designed and delivered a Waste to Energy (WtE) Industrial Steam Turbine and Generator (STG) to East Rockingham Waste-to-Energy in Australia.
Manufactured in Sanand, India, the 35-MWe STG will be installed at the East Rockingham power plant. Located in Western Australia, the facility will process around 300,000 tons of waste to produce close to 30 MWe of electricity and prevent the release of the equivalent of more than 300,000 tons of CO2 per annum.
