Kawasaki Tachibana WTE Plant, Japan
Order to supply 3 grate systems
On 19 December 2017, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Environmental [&] Chemical Engineering (MHIEC) signed a contract with the city of Kawasaki for the construction of the Tachibana WTE plant.
The plant will be located between Tokyo and Yokohama, in the Kanagawa Prefecture.
Three combustion lines equipped with MARTIN reverse-acting grates, each with a daily throughput of 200 Mg, will replace the three existing combustion lines (200 Mg/day each). These were also fitted with MARTIN reverse-acting grates and had been operating since 1974.
Start-up of the plant is planned for September 2023.
